Welcome! Class starts October 14

Welcome to the Center for Collaborative Support's online book study, Making Connections with STEM. In this 8-week online course, participants will explore how STEM can connect with their content area by reading articles and blog posts, viewing videos, listening to podcasts, etc. (That’s right! This book study doesn’t have a book! Instead, all materials will be shared with participants through the weekly assignments.) Teachers will discover how science, technology, engineering and math can be integrated along with social studies, ELA, and the arts, and consider how to incorporate creative problem solving techniques into their lessons. We will also explore how STEM is key to providing equity for educational and career opportunities for our students.

This class consists of 8 one-week cycles There is a tab at the top of the blog for each week of the class. I will send you reminder emails throughout the course with links to the appropriate page, but you are welcome to visit these pages ahead of time and work ahead if you'd like.

In addition to the 8 prompts, you may opt to complete the application portion of this course in order to earn an additional 3 clock hours. Visit the application tab to learn more about this component.

For more information about the class and expectations for clock hours, visit the Course Information & FAQ page.
